2001:
Received the first reply from Sagawa Dojo by Kimura Shihan allowing to attend just 1 class in Japan, just to understand the difference between real Aiki and others. “…no matter how I insisted (I called for 3 days), I was not allowed for more classes at that time…”
Continued schedule in Japan: DaitoryuRoppokai, after that go to Sapporo (Hokkaido island) for intensive course in DaitoryuKodokai (Mudenjuku). “I spent very lovely and unique time staying with my teacher (7th Dan Shihan) and his family (Iida Family) and studying his Daitoryu”
Finally allowed by Kimura Shihan to join more classes.
“I have never experienced anything that come near to the skill of Aiki as it is done by Kimura Shihan of Sagawa-ha DaitoryuAikibujutsu. Only then I understood why Sagawa Sohan supposed to be the Real Successor and why there only is one real Daitoryu. My previous teachers were all good and had kindly shared their knowledge with me, for this I am forever grateful (especially to Iida HiroShihan), but the kind of Daitoryu practiced in Sagawa-ha is a martial art on a completely different level – it proves that Takeda Sensei’s Art is for real fighting.”
“Upon return to Cape Town I have realized how much my technique has improved thanks to Kimura Shihan.”
Later, decided to come to Taiwan to work, since South Africa’s economy has deteriorated and crime picked to new heights.
